2. HEALTH & MEDICAL DECLARATION

Important: Our classes involve physical activity. You must disclose any conditions that may affect your safe participation. Information provided is treated in strict confidence and used solely to keep you safe. Please inform our instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations that they should be aware of. Please also inform us about any allergies you may have.

  • Health Declaration: I confirm that the information above is accurate and complete. I understand it is my responsibility to inform the instructor of any changes to my health, and to consult a medical professional if I am unsure whether activity is appropriate for me.

3. LIABILITY, RISK & PARTICIPATION CONSENT

  • Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in yoga, Bollywood fitness, meditation, and all related activities involves inherent physical risk including, but not limited to, muscle strains, sprains, falls, and cardiovascular events. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
  • Liability Waiver: To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless The yoga house, its instructors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, losses, or damages arising from my participation, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of the yoga house.
  • Studio Rules & Instructor Authority: I agree to follow all studio guidelines and accept that instructors have authority to ask me to modify or stop an exercise at any time for safety reasons.

4. TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS: All classes and sessions must be booked in advance. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel – life happens, and we’ll always try to be as flexible as we can.

  1. Cancelling with more than 7 days’ notice: You’ll receive a full refund.
  2. Cancelling within 7 days of your session: You’ll receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.
  3. Cancelling within 12 hours of your session: Unfortunately we’re unable to offer a refund at this stage, as your spot cannot be filled at short notice.
  4. If we cancel: You’ll always receive a full refund or, if you’d prefer, a replacement class of equal value — whichever works best for you.
  5. No-shows (no notice given): The full session fee will be charged and no refund or credit will be issued.
  6. PAYMENT: Payment is due at time of booking unless otherwise agreed. Class passes and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable except at our sole discretion. Prices may be updated with 30 days’ written notice to existing members.
  7. PUNCTUALITY: Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class. Latecomers may not be admitted once a class has begun to avoid disruption and for safety reasons.
  8. CODE OF CONDUCT: All participants are expected to treat instructors and fellow participants with respect. We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination, harassment, or threatening behaviour. We reserve the right to withdraw access to our services without refund in the event of a serious breach.
  9. INCLUSION & DIVERSITY: I agree to participate in an inclusive, welcoming environment and to treat all participants and staff with dignity and respect regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. I acknowledge that the yoga house is committed to equal access for all and may offer reasonable adjustments where requested.
  10. PERSONAL BELONGINGS: The yoga house accepts no liability for loss of or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.
  11. CHANGES TO SERVICES: We reserve the right to alter the timetable, instructors, or class content. Where a class is cancelled by us, participants will be offered a credit or refund.
  12. GOVERNING LAW: These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or the relevant jurisdiction where services are provided). Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that territory.

5. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

  • Core Data Processing: I consent to the yoga house collecting, storing, and processing my personal data (including name, contact details, date of birth, and health information) for the purposes of providing services, managing bookings, and ensuring my safety. Data will be held securely and not sold to third parties. I understand I have the right to access, rectify, or erase my data at any time by contacting theyogahouseuk@gmail.com.   • Health Data (Special Category): I explicitly consent to the processing of my health and medical information as special category data under applicable data protection legislation (e.g. UK GDPR / GDPR). I understand this data is collected solely for safety and service delivery purposes.
